In addition to our supportive community partner spaces, Elbow Room operates a home studio in SE Portland. The art studio accommodates up to 15 artists at a time, with a combination of personal desk space and communal tables. The studio primarily consists to two rooms, which are connected to Elbow Room’s office, archive and gallery. Restroom and kitchen access are shared with other businesses in the building, and the hallways are a place of interaction and community.

The studio is open Monday through Friday from 10-3. Participating artists have access to a wide variety of media: from drawing and painting, to textiles, woodworking, digital art, and music production. Our goal is to keep our shelves stocked with quality art materials, and to meet artists’ needs and requests. Artists pay no out of pocket fees to access Elbow Room.
